Hi - I am testing the trial version of Fidelia. I have some questions that I hope someone can help me with:
1) How does hog mode sound quality compare with the hog mode on Decibel? Reason I ask is that Decibel costs $35 with hog mode included vs. $70 ($20+$50) for Fidelia.
2) I'm confused by the volume control situation - I realize that Fidelia uses dithering, but does this dithered sound then get reprocessed by the system's core audio volume control? Something I noticed is that hog mode disables the system's global volume control - which makes me wonder whether in non hog mode the sound is being reprocessed by core audio's volume control?
