  1. Probably a stupid question... Using my m2 tech Young Dac the volumecontrol in Audirvana is missing. Wher did it go? Can I recover it some how? /B
  2. Excuse me for beeing ignorent. What else is needed to use this regulator? Can I just use it with any linear or switching Powersupply delivering over 18 volt DC? /B
  3. I am thinking about using an Android tablet to control the playlist, player etc. on my Mac Mini. There are quite a few softwares that claim to do this like Splashtop. But which one to chose? Of course I want it as cheap as possible but in the same time with easy set up. Any body have any experience of such set up willing to share some thoughts? /B
  4. Can just say that Iam still in love with the Young. How ever I am interested in knowing about the Teddy PSU. Is it worth the €270 ? Have anybody tested some other PSU with good result? Also considering Little Pinkie £110-170 or isn´t it good enough? Cheers! /B
  5. Just recived my Young Dac today. I must say it looked much better than I imagined. I was really surprised of good it sounded, just right out of the box. The sound stage is really good as well as the separation. I can only Imagine what it will sound like once run in. Thinking about doing something about the PSU tough. But so far so good! Brgds /B
  6. I am still in the market for a DAC. W4S Dac02 is on top of my list, second by Moon 300D and the all new Hegel Dac 20. But still to decide. /C
  7. OK! Thank you Rascal. However what is preffered to go out through USB or optical? Why is the one better than the other? /C
  8. If i Have a DAC with asynchronous USB input. Do I need the S/PDIF bridge from Halide to get the best out put. Or just a high quality USB cable. Or should I go Optical to connect a macmini? What is your recommendations on this? /C
  9. Thankyou for all input. I Appreciate that the NAIM is a turn key solution. But my doubts were that it was superior in ripping CD´s in to lossless formats. And that it´s high end capabilities were far superior to a mac/macmini because of how it´s built. Iam not afraid to put in some effort to make a mac solution work as long as the end result will be accepteble high end wise. Cheers! /C
  10. Hallo! I apologize for my icompetence. I feel like I have opend Pandoras box. It all started with me thinking of buying a macmini to hook up to my television. Got me thinking I also buy a DAC to use for both my digital TV reciever and the Mac. Then I start thinking about hooking up my CD player to the DAC and finally replace the CD player alltogheter with a good transport. But when I went in to the Audio Store they told me to go for a $4000 Naim Unity SSD Hard Disc Player/server. I then asked why I should not use the MacMini instead. But they adviced against that. Reading this forum I realize that many using the MacMini with Max/CDparanoia for ripping/correcting CD¨s and AUDIRVANA for playback. Is the difference with a dedicated RipNAS like Linn recomend or the Naim Unity (which seems to be a ripping NAS)really that big compared to the Mac? Or is this just marketing B.S? /C
