  1. This really caught my attention... http://www.theverge.com/2012/4/4/2924585/neil-young-high-resolution-music-store-trademark Here is another article about this: http://www.clashmusic.com/news/neil-young-working-on-audio-format
  2. Thanks for the heads up! I am downloading it now. I saw him play on this tour in Nashville, TN and it was a fun show. I will let you know how it goes.
  3. Howdy! I ran the Foobar Dynamic Range app on all four versions of Signals that I own, and here are the results: Original CD version DR13 First remastered CD version DR10 2011 remastered CD version DR9 MFSL Gold CD version DR13 To me, the MFSL version sounds the best by far. I like having the DVDA discs from the Sectors box sets, but overall, I'm not that impressed with the CDs. They seem a little too loud and "punchy". I hope this helps.
  4. Thanks for the warning...this is really starting to tick me off.
  5. I have all of their studio stuff as well as most of the live shows out on cd and dvd. Be sure and check out "Rift", "Farmhouse" and "Hampton Comes Alive". Most of their stuff is pretty good, although sometimes I have to be in the mood to listen to it...but I dont mean that in a bad way...LOL.
  6. So far, ALAC 3,740 albums 40,924 songs 1.02 TB FLAC 847 albums 9,928 songs 334 GB I dont have the high-res stuff counted up yet.

  9. I just caught wind of the following at the Rushisaband site regarding the upcoming Rush remaster box sets: "Just a heads-up: Universal Music just confirmed to me that these box sets will be CD sets (music in 44.1/16) with only one album upgraded to DVD lossless per set. (They were apparently remastered in 96/24 then downconverted for CD. However, all 15 albums are going to be available as full 96/24 downloads at HDTracks.com for about $18 each. I'm trying to talk them into discounts for ordering multiple albums at once." Does anyone here have any info on this? I hope this is true!
  10. I would like to see those as well. The two Grateful Dead albums you mention were re-mixed by Mickey Hart on DVD-A. Even though I like the new mixes, I would prefer to have the originals in high-res.
  11. Sorry...I dont know. I have seen it as a MFSL Gold CD before though.
  12. Hi- If you like classic rock, HD Tracks has some good hi-res albums to download. Also, if you like Grateful Dead, Phish, and other jambands, check out nugs.net. Also, the Allman Brothers, Little Feat and others have stuff for download at Munck Music. I hope this helps. If you are more into classical or jazz, check with some of the other people here on the site...I am a heathen when it comes to that stuff... John
  13. Hi- I checked, and no, it doesnt have any narration on those tracks...only music. That does sound pretty cool though...are there other versions on CD with the Orson Welles stuff? John
  14. Hi- I have Kamakiriad on DVDA, MVI DVDA and CD, and have a question for everyone...has anyone else noticed some low-end distortion in the song "Snowbound"? I have checked out all 3 versions, and it appears on every one. It begins to appear at the 14 and 25 second marks, and several other times during the song. It is most noticeable at lower volume, and more so when listening with headphones. Thanks for any replies . John
