A pair of Pass XA-160.5 mono blocs in mint condition. These were purchased in Dec 2012 and still are in warranty until the end of 2015. They come with the original doubles boxes and can be shipped at your expense (rather heavy amps). Selling as I have been downsizing my main stereo system and these are now a vast overkill for my KEF LS-50s :-) Asking price: $11,995 Please add 3% if paying by Paypal; I will accept personal checks or money orders as well - will ship after cashing them. I have 100% positive feedback on Audiogon, eBay, Astromart and Fredmiranda.

Yeah, that's what I meant and you're right about my core not being on the mac mini - it's running on a (much beefier) PC. Since my mac mini is headless, I'm forced to use my core to control playback rather than from my couch (I know I'm being lazy, but I got spoiled by JRemote :-) Anil

Would this also include Roonspeakers on remotes? Having an iPad app without the ability to control my mac mini remote makes it less exciting :-)

I think he's referring to single FLAC files with cue sheets. I had a few of them and Roon does not recognize them - I used JRMC to convert them to individual FLAC files. It will not recognize ape files either, FWIW. Not a big deal for me as I don't have that many of either, but I can understand it being a pain if you have a ton of them. Anil -

Very cool, this sounds exactly like what we would want. Just to be clear, once we have a (say) Mac OSX Roon speaker, can I control it from any remote (including a future iPad remote)? If so, that would meet my (our?) requirements. Again thanks for your active participation and listening to and providing detailed answers. That in itself is going to be one of your competitive advantages! Anil BTW, I just wanted to mention that I ended up purchasing a lifetime subscription after watching Chris's video and then spending a few hours of forum reading. Even for me, that was a very impulsive decision and I have not been disappointed so far :-) I just wanted to plug CA as the impetus for my purchase decision. I'm sure there are others who are similarly influenced by this website, so I really appreciate your spending a lot of energy on these forums. -

I have seen this as well. Interestingly, my Core "remembers" the previous zone selection (which is a remote running on a mac mini and connected to a DAC), even though it no longer shows up in my list of accessible audio zones in Core. I didn't switch the zone on my Core, in case I can;t get it back. All in all, I think this whole private vs public zones thing needs to be thought through more carefully. Another limitation I will probably run into soon is that I can not use an Anrdoid/iOS app (which would be another remote) to control audio playback on my mac mini (which is also another client) - this is because remotes are not supposed to be able to access audio zones of other remotes. This seems like a rather arbitrary restriction to me. Danny: Can you describe the philosophy behind zones in Roon and how they're supposed to work? I think you can enable really powerful setups if you simply enabled sharing of private zones between "trusted" peer remote clients (e.g., remote on my mac mini can allow a remote on my iphone to access its zone). How is support for classical music on this app? The video only devotes a few seconds on this; does it also provide an equally rich environment for classical music? Support for Works (Opus/BWV/Kochel etc), instruments, periods, orchestras, libretti, performers etc? That would be quite amazing if true. Currently, it's a real pain to manage classical music (even on JRMC which is super flexible about this). Also, does anyone know when the 10% discount expires? If it indeed sounds as good as JRMC or other current players and provides the amazing interface (for classical as well), the price seems reasonable (especially with the discount). Anil
