Thanks! Do you think my system will be able to take advantage of the Ayre? I'm worried my amp (MF A5 integrated) doesn't have enough "woomf!"

Hey guys. Just checking in. Would be awesome if some one has a setup similar to mine and can advise on a suitable DAC. At the moment, thinking about: Squeezebox Touch (heard it can rival Transporter) Transporter SE Musical Fidelity M1 + V-LINK Ayre QB-9 Linn Majik DS PS: With the wired DAC, going to run a 5 meter interconnect to the amp. Will that result in signal degradation? Thanks!

Thanks, Eloise. My budget tops out at Ayre QB9, which I'm considering. However, I do want to make sure that whatever I get, my system can take advantage of, not become the bottleneck to. Re the computer, what are the advantages of the mini over the air?

Hi guys, I've spent quite a bit of time on this forum but there're so many options that I don't know which DAC to choose. Your help would be greatly appreciated! My goal is to get 24/192 music from my computer (macbook air) to my stereo (musical fidelity a5 integrated, musical fidelity a5 cd player, and wilson audio sophia 2). Also, I have a pioneer elite dvd player, but I don't think that'll be useful in this endeavor. I was hoping you guys could suggest a solution that would work well with my system. Thanks a lot! PS: if doing so would make a difference, I will get a ssd to house the music.
