  1. When people talk about vibrations, what are they referring to exactly? I have a headphone-based system, so there are no speakers with vibrating cones. My external hard drive is on a carpeted floor a few feet from my equipment rack, so its vibrations can't possibly be making an audible difference. Beyond that, nothing else in my system vibrates except for the Mini itself briefly when I turn it on. Also, I haven't seen much discussion in this thread about Airport. It seems like Wifi would introduce a lot of noise, such that operating the Mini using Apple Remote would be less than ideal.
  2. Yeah, I plan to test it myself. I'm mostly wondering about the theory behind the idea that the computer should be plugged in. I can't see any basis for that.
  3. I'm new at this, so forgive the basic question: Should I use my Macbook Pro as a music server on battery power or AC? It seems like battery power (with power management features turned off to avoid throttling down the processor) would be the better choice to avoid noise from the power supply. However, the people who make the Pure Music software say it's better to keep the computer plugged in. Opinions?
