Thanks for all the advice. Just wondering how well jriver works well with itunes?

I'm trying to find the best way to sync my music library over two macs with the entire music library stored on a NAS. If possible, I would like to use one of the macs as the admin computer, being used for ripping and downloading only while the second mac being used for only playback. Just wondering what is the best way to do this so that both computers will have the same music library?

This question might have already been answered. I am trying to move my entire music collection to a synology ds411 slim and want to use itunes with pure music software. What is the best way achieve this and allow for easy navigation of the music collection through either desktop or iphone remote? Thanks in advance

Hello, I just ordered the ds411slim, and would like to know if anyone has had experience running usb directly from the nas to a dac? My internet panel (also where the nas is going) is located in a closet directly behind my entertainment system. A data port runs to the other side of the wall for tv and internet service, this port could also run another usb cable from the nas. Currently, I'm running a mac with itunes to the entertainment center dac 20 feet through a usb to cat5 to usb converter (which runs a good distance in the attic). Once the nas is setup, would running a 3m usb from the ds411slim directly to the dac (also through a v-link) have better sound or should I continue run through mac? Thank in advance

I'm using the Icron send and receive system from the Mac into Rega Dac, using USB input. I've been reading about the various USB/SPDIF devices to further improve upon the sound quality. Music Fidelity V-link, Bel Canto, etc. My question to the forum: Does anyone use a similar setup as far as running long USB signals to their entertainment center from a computer? And, would there be potential problems or sound degradation converting the USB signal to SPDIF (or toslink), then to Rega Dac? My system has a lot of converting going on, just curious if anyone has experienced issues or if there is potential for further improvement by using USB/SPDIF or USB/Toslink? Thank you, Thomas
