Eloise/Memphiskat, The setup currently is cable modem connected to AE by ethernet, iMac communicating wirelessly with Airport Express, which is streaming wirelessly to SB Duet connected by Toslink S/PDIF to the Arcam. If I get a SB Touch will this setup get as high as 24/96? In his review of the Touch, Chris implied stated that he was listening to 24/96 stuff wirelessly using the Airport Extreme. You are suggesting that an outboard DAC would be superior the Arcam's inboard DACS. Do you mean that, generally, outboard DACs are better than those in a AV receiver or is that a specific feeling about the Arcam DACs?

Bunch of newbie questions coming up: I am considering the following setup: iMac->Airport Express->Squeezebox Touch->Toslink S/PDIF->Arcam AVR 300->NHT speaker system 1. The bitrate out of the SB Touch would be as high as 24/96, correct? 2. Why do I need a DAC between the SB Touch and the Arcam's DACs? 3. How would this compare to a MacMini physically at the stereo->DAC->Arcam AVR300, or for that matter, another amp?
