  1. CAVEAT: I am not affiliated with Auraliti, and have not had any experience with them, but I am a network and Linux specialist(guessing that Auraliti is running Linux as its OS). Can you ping the IP address? (for the newbie: Open a Command window and do a "ping <IP address>" ) Also, the web interface may not be starting up correctly, so you may need to log in with SSH to see what is going on, if you have some kind of admin userid and password. You will need an application called "putty" do do that (Google Putty, its a one file download). Not everyone is comfortable with the command line (guessing the OS is Linux), but it might be worth giving it a shot. If you want some help with it, send me a PM.
  2. Downloading will only take place while you have the bittorrent client running. So, once you have it downloaded, and you don't want to share it out, just delete it from the torrent list. I would probably do any downloads on a separate machine and then copy them to your Mini after they are completed.
  3. http://www.archive.org/details/etree From the FAQ: "This audio archive is an online public library of live recordings available for royalty-free, no-cost public downloads. We only host material by trade-friendly artists: those who like the idea of noncommercial distribution of some or all of their live material. Live recordings are a part of our culture and might be lost in 100 years if they're not archived. We think music matters and want to preserve it for future generations. The LMA draws strength from the members of http://etree.org and other online communities of music fans devoted to providing public access to high-quality digital recordings of tradable performances. Typically, recordings are made by the fans themselves. Recordings are preserved in "Lossless" archival compression formats such as Shorten or FLAC (MP3 is not Lossless) for highest quality preservation. Patrons may download from the LMA with the understanding that the artists still hold their copyrights. All material is strictly noncommercial, both for access here and for any further distribution. " The OP's torrent was posted on etree.org, so we have to presume that the band gave permission for it. Here's a list of artists: http://www.archive.org/browse.php?collection=etree&field=%2Fmetadata%2Fcreator
  4. http://www.bittorrent.com/ Then when you click on a link that points to a .torrent file, it will pop up a window that asks if you want to open it with the bittorent application. Just say yes and it will start the process.
  5. Thanks for the info! What distro are you using, or is it "roll your own"? Does 192/24 recording work also?
  6. Could you elaborate on "nicely"? ie: sample rates etc? I have a 0204 on the way and since it sounds like OSX is still limited to 24/96 on the 0404(and they use the same DAC chip) I'm hoping I can use it at 24/192 on Linux. Any other hints on use would be greatly appreciated. JD
