i broused alot.. and Creative X-fi, etc, is old school. and the best sound card right now is Asus Xonar St.... than the Asus Xonar Stx.. and than under... im planing to get it 2. take a search at those.

Hi I have Rega Apollo CD, and decided to buy a Rega Dac. I want to stream the Flac files from my PC to the Dac. What is the Best way?. And what the Sofware i have to use to play Flac. I have thinking Buying the Sound card with optical out, Cuz i think it has less noise than Coaxial. There is 3 sound cards 1. Asus Xonar Essence STX at 190$ CAD 2. Asus Xonar D1 7.1 PCI at 90$ CAD 3. Asus Xonar DS 7.1 Low profile 60$ CAD All output 24/192khz One question is; does i get better Digital(optical) sound through the 190$ Card. Or all Digital (optical & Coaxial) output is the same to the DAC. Cuz i hear a guy told that, his coaxial integrated from is motherbord sound is not as good his coaxial from his sound card. Well if you guys have better advise for me, I'm very appreciate. Thank Beside I planing using like this setup 2 Chanel. PC--> Rega Dac--> AMP ---> Harbeth SHL5. thank again.
