my system is composed by:
HTPC with realtek 889 audio card
Audio GD NFB-3 DAC connected with optical cable
Onkyo A5VL
Pair of Klipsch RF62
Using the optical output i can hear a lot of noise playing 192khz flac or upsampling output to.
I can hear no some kind of noise up to 96khz, i tried with an optical output of a notebook but in this case the noise start from 96khz.
I want to buy an ESI MAYA44-PCI, with this card can i hear 192khz sound without noise (using optical output) or it is a problem of my htpc?
It is a good upgrade from realtek to esi maya44?
My htpc is composed by:
AMD athlon 245e 45W with passive cooler
500W Power supply
1TB samsung hard disk
mini-ATX Gigabyte motherboard
entry level ATI HD5XXX with true hd support
