  1. Decision made! Groneberg TS Premium speaker cable. Just under my budget, distinctive, with a kind of retro steam punk vibe. The bluish gray also goes with the blue of my new Sophia Electric coke bottle KT88s.
  2. So download the audio from youtube?
  3. No remote, when I looked used options were remote but no upgrade and no remote w/upgrade. Is that going to be a problem?
  4. Can you recommend a good sounding brand?
  5. Decision made! I first scratched the Matrix, seemed headphone centric to me and that would not be my usage. davide256 comment about the R26 network module started me looking elsewhere, and i did, as russellbobby suggested, find a used Bricasti M3 with network card for $3500. My belief is that the old saying, we eat with our eyes, pertains to audiophilism as well, we listen with our eyes too. And so I bought the used Bricasti.
  6. I am interested in buying some speaker cables that look good. For me that means thick, round cable, diameter of a quarter maybe, black or dark gray. No patterns, lizard or snake skin, etc, not cheap shiny looking either. Don't want to pay a fortune, better SQ is secondary to looks good. Suggestions?
  7. The EtherRegen is $680 the LHY OCK 2i s $750 and your SoTM dBl7 Ethernet cable is $550. What if skipped that and just used something like the melco C1 ethernet cable at $60, am I going to be disappointed? Or what if added one or two of the above?
  8. so ethernet better than usb without innuos? Did you try any of the add ons, clock, fuse etc?
  9. Still looking for something new to team with my Melco music library box. (post a thread over a year and a half ago). Melco supposedly sounds better outputting over ethernet, so I am looking for something that will input ethernet. R26 supposedly sounds better using ethernet. It is rtr, so less digital sounding, and less expensive. Plus plus plus Matix seems to have tested out phenomenally. Plus, but is it too digitial? Neither of these are real lookers. The looker also happens to be the most expensive, the Bricasti. Unrealistic for me but beautiful. I'm 85% R26 10% Matix 5% Bricasti. Any thoughts? Currently tube amp is Ayon Orion, speakers MMMicroones and of course the Melco
  10. so skip the fancy cables, Yay, save a couple bucks
