  1. Thanks for the replys! I suppose rephrasing my question would definitely help. If you had $400, how would you power my speakers? EDIT: screw it, I'll make it $400. Getting an all in one like the Peachtree, or get two separate units, like a Rotel + a Nuforce? Thanks!
  2. I've tested a few NAD's as well, and I wasn't too happy with how flat the sound was. I really liked the warmth of the Rotel. Is there something like the Peachtree Decco (amp + DAC combo), but cheaper? Right now, I'm thinking of getting the Rotel + a NuForce UDAC-2, would that be a decent combo, or am I better off getting the Peachtree or something similar that's combined?
  3. I'm looking for a bit of advice about buying an amp. I recently grabbed a pair of B&W DM601's which are totally awesome and I love dearly. That being said, I need a decent amp to power them. Obviously these will be coming out of my computer (MBP), but I have no DAC as of yet as I'm slowly building my system. Here's what I'm looking at: Rotel RA931/932 - seems to be a great little amp with plenty of power. I really love the warm, full sound of a rotel, so they are high on my list. Peachtree Decco - the refurbished one. I've heard it's absolutely incredible, and seems to fit what I need perfect, but its just too high for me at $500. Essentially, I'm looking for some advice as to where I should be looking. Companies, products, deals, ect. I need to keep this in a college friendly budget (because tuition is rather terrifying), so under $300. I'm looking to keep it used as well (which means that I'll entertain offers from people on here!) Thanks!
