  1. So, if I put on the tracks on an old ipod classic or my iPhone, I can just use it as a remote and stream it to the AE. Great! Haven't read about it in here but has someone experiences with streamning tracks from a Dropbox or another service (perhaps another cheaper service?!)?
  2. I've been reading this very great site for some weeks now, and it has been a great first introduction/journey into the digital audio world. And lots of information and personal experiences from all of you. Well, now I have a question to discuss: I have sold my current setup (NAD S300 and S500) and want to go digital. I have an iMac, a small pc netbook and a pc laptop. I don't want to have the computer run all the time. My first thought was to go for a headless Mac Mini (2010) setup and also make use of HDMI to our HDTV. But it is getting too expensive. Later. It is always good to have the next dream come true :-) I am thinking of buying the Peachtree iDecco (not the Nova, as my speakers are not that hard to drive: Dali Royal Scepters). Then buy a used iPod Classic 160GB and put it in the "pure digital" dock of the iDecco. As far as I understand it is as good as - or better than - streaming through AE(?) With the iPod I have some sort of screen to operate and ready at hand in my living room. And it has to be convenient (no run to another room to my iMac or turning on laptops etc.). Then it will never get used I think. A possible solution might also be to buy the iDecco and a SB Touch and stream to the Touch; gives a bigger screen and a better interface. Any experiences? Is the iDecco/Nova that good - I sense that the 'real' audiophiles in here prefer not to mention this kind of all-in-one product. Yes, I've heard it and it sounded great but I have to compare it to other solutions (integrated DACs). Linn Majik DS and Naim Unity are too expensive. It should not cost much more than the iDecco. And I am a great fan of headphones. Thanks again for a great place to get wiser and inspired!
