  1. I have a music system based on a Mac Mini music server, Mytek DAC, Border Patrol valve amp and Sonus Faber speakers located in my library/music room. I would like to extend the system so I can listen to music in my office. To avoid an additional DAC I would like to take the analogue output from the Mytek to speakers in the office either by wifi or ethernet (all rooms are wired). I expect to have good quality sound. I would welcome any advice on suggested equipment.

I am looking for help here. Rather than load all my music files into A+2 I restricted its use to my Jazz SACD, some 300. I know the manual states that SACDs are not currently covered but all but seven albums load fine with all tracks and album covers. The following are the problems with the seven - 1 & 4. No album cover, metadata greyed out, cannot edit or change. Tracks all there. 2, 3, 5, 6 & 7. No album cover. Can add album cover in metadata but does not appear in library. Tracks all there. Any suggestions would be welcome. I have concentrated on this section because the Classical SACDs and all my CDs are worse. How do you edit metadata in iTunes? I do not use iTunes but it may help to know.

I have found the library facility of A+2 virtually useless. Albums without covers displayed, no artist name, no album name, etc. metadata greyed out thus no editing facility, etc, etc. Why could the library function not be based on Finder where the user has total control over the data? I have used Finder as my music library for ages, dragging tracks, albums, etc into A+1 to play. Works perfectly. With some 10,000 tracks A+2 as it is is useless. Can we have a Finder version.
  4. Simple question - Does anyone offer an SACD ripping service? I simply want the convenience of being able to play my SACDs from my hard drive.
  5. Not looking for a DAC, perfectly happy with the Delius. Looking for a solution along the lines of "the hip bone connects to the thigh bone, the thigh bone connects to the knee bone" etc.
  6. Why Boot Camp? What is HQPlayer? I don't want a wireless connection otherwise no point in using ethernet, trying to avoid wireless or optical. Again don't know HQPlayer Network Audio Appliance or Network Audio Daemon, where to find information? What USB/SPDIF converter? A lot of this solution appears to be software but my first requirement is to find the appropriate physical connections. Thanks for the response, but please can I now have an explanation in simple terms.
  7. I want to transfer audio signals from an iMac (with iTunes and Audirvana) via a dedicated ethernet cat6 cable to a dCS Delius DAC. The ethernet socket on the iMac is already in use for a network so I have usb or firewire outputs available. The Delius will accept a digital audio signal into AES/EBU or SPDIF sockets. How do I connect to the ethernet cable sockets at each end? In other words how do I get from usb or firewire to ethernet and then from ethernet to AES/EBU or SPDIF? I am looking for a high quality solution.
  8. I have a dff and a dff.cue file of a ripped SACD. How can I split the file into individual tracks on a Mac?
  9. I apologise if my question is naive but I am no technician, just a music lover. My system includes a dCS Verdi La Scala SACD player with firewire connection to a dCS Delius dac. Can I take the DSD signal to an iMac and store on a hard disk and then subsequently play back through my system (without any conversion)? If so, what software is available? I have some 5GB worth of CDs on hard disk and would love to add the convenience to my SACD collection.
