  1. David, The Naim UnitiQute has similar functionality to the Linn Majik DSi around $2500. The amp is a bit less powerful, but it is a classic high-current Naim power amp. No USB input, but like the Linn, it has an Ethernet port and it is a uPnP client, so it can stream directly from a NAS or uPnP server (eyeConnect has a uPnP server for the Mac, there are a few for Windows, and Naim also sells their own version: UnitiServe if you don't want a computer in the mix). Nice features, small package, easy to use. I am sure that I am giving up something with regard to sound quality over a Mac -> DAC (Tranquility or other) -> Amp/Integrated (Red Wine Audio or ...). But, it provides simplicity and ease of use and gets around the entire PC configuration and USB/digital interface issues. Scott.
