    The DT 880s are notorious for being too bright. I say get the D5000s and then worry about a dac later. The low impedance on the Denons should make them easy to drive from a portable or a sound card or headphone out on a receiver.

    Headamp Pico, 500 ballons and it sounds just as nice as a Benchmark Dac 1.

    It will work if you can use ASIO4ALL with J River Media Center. If not then I would lookl at Foobar2000, it does work with ASIO4ALL.

Warm, Punchy, lots of impact, lots of detail without being sterile and overly bright. Smooooooth and detailed and lots of impact! DA100 Signature!
