Has anyone used the Creative Labs SoundBlaster X-Fi HD? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6727795&Sku=C44-3514 I was looking at this with the M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 speakers. Comments or suggestions?

I am wanting to setup a decent sounding computer based system for my work office. The room is about 10 x 13 and is the typical commercial built office space, steel studs and drywall. The speakers will most likely be placed 3 -5 feet away from me. I recently ripped all my music to FLAC, but I do also listen to Rhapsody for streaming music. Is worth it for me to purchase a DAC, amp and speakers for listening in this space or am I better off just purchasing a 2.1 computer based speaker setup? My work computer is a HP Laptop running Windows 7 64-bit. Budget is ~$500, and I already have an older Sony amp. Any suggestions? Thanks!
