  1. My impression, low frequency are a bit more confused, just my opinion. Anyway I am using daphile for a long time and never liked rt versions over the normal kernel. In general the new version with 4.xx kernel is a step up over the older 3.xx kernel. Kimmo, a billion of thanks for daphile! Inviato dal mio LG-D855 utilizzando Tapatalk
  2. I strongly raccomend this version : http://www.daphile.com/tmp.qSPQbWD3rw/daphile-15.07-b181507-x86_64.iso I don't like the rt kernel version. Inviato dal mio LG-D855 utilizzando Tapatalk

    HQ Player

What's new in 3.60 just released?
  4. The Dxio pro3 from dyhnhk to my ears is a very very excellent converter. I owned hiface2 and hiface evo.
  5. A very nice option would be to store favorite settings for a particular album so read those automatically by hqplayer if saved in the same folder where resides the album, it would be a comfort. Edit Pardon I only now see the Bibo post
  6. What I like ... An android controll app for hqplayer.
  7. I see in Volumio forum that people with cm6631 usb chip have problems, I strongly reccomand the udoo volumio combination with xmos based usb dac, those works well. Regarding Mael is a product not easy to try. You can easily change it with a linear power supply for your taste, a peaktech for example, but volumio-udoo is pretty good also with the standard power supply. I don't know if any way to have a coax output from udoo. I like the udoo-Volumio more than pc-win-jriver combinations, imho the difference is noticeable Ciao
  8. Pardon my late replay. I have to say I don't have experience with rabsperry pi, regarding power supply I use a modded Mael linear power supply with low ripple 13v 4a. The bad thing... reading Volumio forum most people with usb chip cm6631 seem to have same problem at moment. With xmos ... no problem.
  9. BLUESMAN@ After my positive experience with udoo I bought utilite for the nice form factor, mine is the middle version. For now I tested utilite with the default switch power supply cause the proprietary plug. (I think same adaptor plug 2.1mm to 1.3 mm solve the problem to use my own power supply.) I only tested the coax spidf with the very average and long cable included by compulab in the box, a 3.5 mm to rca. With this solution the spidf it is not good as the xmos usb input in my dac. I prefer the udoo + standard power supply VS the utilite + standard power supply. Yes ... utilite form factor is very nice, but I like more Udoo quad to listen my music. Udoo + linear pwr supply is a killer. Ciao
  10. Based on my experience the udoo is the best choise for audio purpose. I have a nuc intel, a compulab utilite and an udoo quad core. The best audio machine is the udoo that I use with an xmos dac + a linear power supply + volumio. For example there is a huge maior quality in audio with udoo + volumio than using nuc intel + daphile, I don t know why, but this is. I Higly reccomand a good linear power supply. Naturally imho

    Udoo + Volumio

Personally to me no more sense look for something better or more powerful, just cause I don't think there is. Now I will have to concentrate on other aspects of the audio chain if I want improve samething. I don't test other hardware with Volumio, anyway I like the compulab utilite form factor, I will test it soon. Naturally .... imho Good look to all :-)
  12. it have a fan. Right..? ------------------------------- Yes, of course, it had a fan that I proceeded to take off, then I mounted the motherbord (without the fan and without active heat sink) in the akasa newton case. Now I have the most absolute silent and the akasa case is only slightly warm. After that, I disabled the fan control in the bios.
  13. Yes You trougth the bios can reduce noise of the fan, if you don't want a completly fanless case as akasa thermal solution or tranquill pc. Akasa is a bit large but work very well. Tranquill pc nuc case is more compact solution but have an high price. My motherboard is D33217GKE.
  14. I have one i3 nuc. First thing I bought is a fanless case, anyhow you can try to reduce the noise in bios settings. Now it's absolutely silent. Fanless case is higly reccomanded. I bought an akasa newton.
  15. Pardon I don't have a pwd for a 64 pro version , am I able to install this release in any way? Thanks
