  1. Hi! So, I've been looking for new computer speakers for awhile. I currently own the Logitech Z-2300 and although they have been incredible and strong for 3 years, I'm looking to replace them. The fact is, they do sound good, but, the sub is a bit boomy, they are losing some of their crispness over the years and the midrange has always been its weakpoint. I have two systems in mind... The Logitech Z-5500 or the Edifier S550(D) or S750. I actually bought the Z-5500 off of eBay for $250 shipped, brand new, but, the seller was a scammer and upon threatening calling the police (as I had his home phone #, cell # and address/zip code), he promptly refunded me and I gave all the other people who he took money from his contact information as well. So, we're back to square one. I know the Edifier's have amazing reviews and are apparently amazing with music and great for movies and such. I have an M-Audio Revolution 7.1 sound card and it is a wonderful sound card for music, so, why not pair it up with an amazing surround sound system? I only have a few problems: The Edifier S550 is 280-300W RMS power, a good chunk of the reason I am upgrading from my Z-2300 is they are just not loud enough at 200W RMS. I am worried that the 80W-100W improvement will not satisfy my needs, though, I heard RMS power does not necessarily indicate loudness. Where the hell do I buy them? Seriously, the only English site I found selling them is www.ncix.com and they are based in Canada and shipping them to America would be at least $175. Is there ANYWHERE in America where they sell them for >$350 or so or am I screwed and am forced to go with the Logitech Z-5500? Do they perform excellently in movies/games as well? --- That's about it. I have no issue with going for the Z-5500, they're cheaper and easier to get, I just know the Edifier's are of superior build quality. I just hope they're loud as hell because that's part of the reason I'm upgrading, and for sound quality in general. It just seems like the S550's are not for sale anywhere in America. I'd swing for the S750's, but, they'd probably be a bit too expensive for my tastes and I am finding even less information on those. So... where do I find these speakers!? Thanks a bunch for the help, Necifix
