  1. oops! spoke too soon. dupes again. damn.
  2. thanks much for the thorough explanation! works great for me! DUPES no more!
  3. JRiver will (automatically) play the ISO rips and show individual tracks along with Album art; no need to convert or any intervention on your part.
  4. It has been a while since I read through all the postings, so please forgive my naive question: is it necessary to run the CAD script every time you boot or just once b/c the modifications permanently change OS on the drive?
  5. The SD card finally died and cannot be reformatted via DiskUtility. I think DiskImage may have overburdened the SD. I will disable DI per above instructions and try another SD.
  6. Thanks for the tip! As you can see from my questions, I am not especially computer literate, but doing the best I can for a senior citizen. Many thanks to the this website and people like you to assist people like me. I'll endeavor to be more responsible to search first and ask questions later. I recently acquired a PS3 with the ripper installed (hence, the source of aforementioned frustration) and am gradually ripping my 150+ SACD collection. I am so pleased with the resulting sound, not to mention the convenience of playing digital files via A+. Thanks again to all of you!
  7. Thanks for the info and advice. Lecture message well received but if you had the kind of day I was having yesterday, you might understand.
  8. When ripping SACD > 4.0 gb, I get two "exec" files which do not play in A+. What do I need to do to be able to play?
  9. Thanks for your thoughts. I'm trying to isolate my OS to experiment with CAD optimization before using full time on my HDD. At this point, I'm not sure if the mis-boots have to do with CAD or SD. Next step is to undo CAD from SD and see what happens.
