  1. Hi Damien Any update on AU Plug-In ability for future release?
  2. oh that is great news Damien, I've been waiting for this since Audivarna's inception. AU/VST support will be the icing on the cake for me.
  3. I also run a John Kenny modded hiFace Mk2 but have not had the same issues. I'm happy with it but will wait until John Kenny implements the new driverless hiFace 2 before I upgrade. I have enquired with John if he plans to use the new driverless hiFace 2 and received a blunt reply - 'No' I'm in no rush to upgrade but when I do decide to, I will most likely buy an Audiophileo as I do not want to be tied to antiquated software drivers going forward.
  4. No sound at all in Direct Mode for me, but I am using a hiFace.
  5. To the OP, I can confirm that Gotye has made the Studio Master available also from his website so it would appear that it is legit. 24 bit masters available here - http://gotye.com/#store.html
  6. yes, you can play DSD files using Audivarna Plus. Your DAC does not support DSD so you will need Audivarna Plus to convert to PCM. My experience with DSD tells me that the full potential (quality) of DSD is not realized with a non DSD DAC. I have both DSD and 24/96 of a high quality recording and I prefer the sound of the 24/96. Still worth downloading and hearing for yourself.
  7. I am having an issue where Audivarna Plus will not play an entire iTunes album when using integrated mode. Seems to play one or two tracks and then randomly pick a track from my iTunes library. I am getting occasional crashes of Audivarna Plus when quitting the App also. Damien, any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks
  8. I've had mine for some time now, it replaced a stock hiFace. I did not expect the differences to be so profound and hard to believe they share the same internals. I'm now auditioning a John Kenny DAC and it is seriously impressive. Essentially a modded battery powered hiFace/ I2S into a Sabre DAC. If anyone is interested - http://sites.google.com/site/hifacemods/home/hiface-dac
  9. not sure why but the download now works. Enter the promo code and click the red arrow above the PayPal symbol. I actually did exactly this earlier today and it did not work and received an error message.
  10. I'm having the same problem with the same error message. I've also sent an email to hdtracks to report the problem but it keeps bouncing back to me. Very frustrating.

    BitPerfect

another here that would love to see AU plug-in support in BitPerfect. I've run the demo version of FabFilter to help manage room nodes and it worked wonderfully.
  12. I'm tempted to buy this album. I have found some of my best sounding music is often the quietest and I need to use more volume. I think a sign that the music is not overly compressed.
  13. I hope you can manage your tinnitus and continue to enjoy music. My wife has tinnitus and finds it difficult at times with constant ringing in the ears. When I think of the live music and volume levels my ears have been subjected to over 30 years I'm probably a prime candidate for tinnitus, thankfully no problems ... yet.
  14. I have been using FabFilter EQ to help tame some room mode issues and achieved excellent results. I did try the Apple plug-ins that come pre loaded into Fidelia but found them to degrade the sound slightly but no such problem with FabFilter, it is a high end DSP designed for mixing and mastering. If you want to fix room modes (I had a large spike at 40hZ and a dip at 125hZ) then these digital EQ's can be an excellent solution. Have a look here - http://www.fabfilter.com/products/pro-q.php
  15. I'm also using a jkenny modded M2 Tech hiFace which explains why Fidelia is not switching sample rate for me. Hope they fix this soon
