1. i I just got one of this old school Cello Dac that back in the days was using Fisher connectors...any source to source an adapter to RCA (my preamp doesn't have XLR) ..? out should I retrofit a xlr plug and use RCA / xlr connector ? I am planning to connect this guy with Berkeley Audio Design Alpha USB Interface. I will be using RCA to BNC adaptor for my SPDIF (Berkeley to Dac) ...this should be interesting sound I hope ..thanks
 2. Thanks Chris for your prompt answer. I am just connected via ethernet using airport extreme with my Mac Mini. What is this feature that you are refering to ? Thanks
 3. I am currently using the N5200 in Raid 5 configuration with 5 * 1.5 THD (Caviar green WD) . This NAS is mainly used as a music server and has close to 4T of uncompressed files. For some reasons when I tried to play my music via my remoted speakers (Wifi connection) the NAS stop playing after two songs. Is there some kind of conflict with the Mac Mini and the NAS? Should I chnage my NAS into DAS ? After checking both my airport setting (changed the channels increase the stream setting etc..) and my internet connection, the problem persist. The NAS will still stop playing after one or two songs. Is there any buffer setting that needs to be altered? I am out of solution so your help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers
 4. Thanks Chris for this additional explanations. I however have a more specific question pertaining to my playlists. I recently upgraded my system with a NAS raid 5. I use to have my music on a EAS (Raid 0) but when i made the switch Itunes could not find anymore the path of my music (despite changing the path in the preferences menu). I am now looking at re-loading my library in asking Itunes to rebuild the path by itself. Now if I do that, I am more likely going to loose my numerous playlists which is a bummer. Do you know where the playlist resides? in the XML or ITB files? How would you proceed here?

Thanks for your help

C
 5. Hi Chris

I just bought the NAS and I agree with you it is a neat device. I do have a question for you though. I tried to transfer my entire library by using the USB copy feature in the front of the unit but with no success. My existing library is close to 2.6 T..do you think the size could be an issue? The reason I did not use my network connection is that is dramatically slows down my connection or freeze it. I am now experiencing transferring 100 GB at the time which seems to work fine.

Thanks for your help
Cyrille
 6. well, you can find a butler that will do that for you if not I am not sure how else you can do it .. btw, impressive library ..do you share it by any chances ? C
