  1. I too have been looking at the Asus AT3ION. It appears to be fanless and the deluxe version of the MoBo comes with an external brick style power adapter similar to Chris's CAPS PSU. The AT5ION looks very tempting, but it doesn't appear to offer the same external psu option. http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=iHWm73RqE6MCmCtw&templete=2 My only hesitation is I don't know whether the integrated NVIDIA processor will handle j river theater view, which is must have for me.
  2. Has anyone tried any of the ion motherboards with J River on Theater View? If so, any issues to be wary of? I would like to use J River Theater View to display content on my television via HDMI. So far, the Asus AT3 deluxe is at the top of the list. Thanks in advance for any help. Very much looking forward to CAPS V2.

  4. Discovering your site has been like discovering a gold mine for someone just discovering the world of computer audio. I am considering building a variant of the CAPS and had a few initial questions. Are the concerns related to moving parts (fans, hard drives, etc.) related to the noise they produce or could they affect sound quality? What about internal power supplies? The reason I ask is that my server would be located in a closet and noise generated by it would not be an issue. Nor would size and I am considering a larger case as a result. Thanks again for all of the great info.
