  1. Ok, after some tweaking what's really going on is that everything in Tidal is playing at 24/48 for me. Even the ordinary 16/44.1 files. Does anyone know if Tidal Masters MQA decoder supports El Capitan on a Mac?
  2. I have it set to "exclusive mode" and also have "force volume" checked. My Mac Mini can't go higher than El Capitan, which is what I'm running. Maybe that's the issue for me.
  3. Yeah that's what's happening for me too. Everything is showing 192/24.
  4. I'm running the Tidal Hi Fi app from a Mac Mini into a Mytek 192 DSD. Everything I play through the Tidal App shows as 192K on the Mytek. When I try to play the files through the Audirvana Plus App's Tidal interface, they load painfully slow and only play at 24/48. Man, this is frustrating. I'd like to know what quality files are being passed through to my DAC from Tidal. Is there no way of knowing? I assume it is taking over the DAC and upsampling things to 192, right? I have Tidal set to exclusive mode.
  5. I just finished successfully ripping and converting 235 of the 236 SACD albums I have (thank you, Ted and Jason!). The one that will not convert is McCoy Tyner with Stanley Clarke and Al Foster on the Telarc Jazz label. When I go to convert the ISO, I get the following message: libsacdread: Can't read Master TOC. I've seen this post, but that's for a PC. Any tips for a Mac user like me?
  6. Thanks, Synfreak and Ted. I'm not at home right now, but when I am, I will try leaving it for around 20-25 minutes to see if it rips them. If not, i might take you up on the older build of the ripper package, Synfreak.
  7. I just started ripping my collection of about 240 SACDs last weekend thanks to Ted's fabulous guide and a machine from Jason at northeastohiopcs. So far I've ripped maybe 30 SACDs and a handful so far seem to be unrippable. What happens is that when I go to click "OK" to begin ripping the machine just freezes. I'll try restarting again and again and for those discs I get the freeze. Is there a list of unrippable SACDs? So far I know these will not rip for me: Billy Joel - Stranger (Sony SACD) Billy Joel - 52nd St (Sony SACD) Issac Hayes - Hot Buttered Soul (MFSL SACD) PS: If this has been covered, I apologize, I tried searching to no avail. Thanks!
  8. I'm curious about this as well. Thanks, Ted. I've been been ripping my first discs tonight with a machine from Jason at northeatohiooptics.
  9. Downloading a could of albums from Pro Studio Masters and they are downloading at about 0.1 mbps. I ran a speed check and things are normal on my end. Does anyone have experience downloading from them? Is this their normal speed? Unfortunately I accidentally downloaded them as AIFF, so they're taking forever.
  10. I'm actually guessing that the label will be providing HDTracks with fresh 24/96 version of it.
  11. I can't imagine the labels providing separate masterings to different stores.
  12. 100 bucks says that the 24/88 highway 61 will eventually be re-released on HDTracks at 24/96.

  14. Their site is such an absolute piece of total garbage now. I get excited to buy something from them every now and then, go to their site, fuss with it, get frustrated and leave without making a purchase. They must be losing tons of cash. They'd be better off reverting to their old, functioning site.
