  1. I'm really interested in hearing more experiences and impressions of redbook playback. Obviously, DSD playback for $850 is wonderful, but 99 percent of my collection is poor old CD transfers (about one percent hirez downloads and, at this time zero DSD ( that will change!)).
  2. Great, thanks for clarifying. One pet peeve I have is against products that need converters and/or upgrade power supplies to achieve full potential. Though to be fair, it's the audiophile community not the manufacturer that ordains such matters
  3. I'm not fully versed in the techie stuff, but I thought the i2s/integer mode would negate the need for a separate USB converter to lower jitter. I will probably pull the trigger on a DAC2-DSD. I have their ST500 integrated and love it ( it smokes!).
  4. In this time of more is always better, I'm wondering if this is the case with NAS'. Presently, I'm planning on a 2 TB drive for my files and a 2 TB for backup. Two TB will probably last me for four or five years of collecting music. Thoughts?
  5. If the Creek has digital out you might try connecting it into your VDAC. It could be a good point of reference.
  6. I have a pretty simple Mac based system: iMac>Airport Extreme>Squeezebox>CA DacMagic>etc. I want to get dual hard drives to back up my music files. Is there anything I should know about HD's and their set up? Thanks
