  1. There are an awful lot of alternatives out for a quiet computer these days. I'm much more experienced with the Apple solutions, and I think a Mac Mini would really do it for you. I'm yet to be convinced by the idea of an iPad, but I think that it could be a novel interface, provided you can get all your music on there.
  2. The DVD Player does not have more than one optical in unfortunately. I've heard a lot of people suggest either a new set of speakers or a DAC; in particular an Edirol UA25, any experience of this device?
  3. Hi all, I recently had an old PowerMac G5, which produced rather tasty sounds, I've recently upgraded to an Intel iMac, and the output is nowhere near the same. My current setup is: iMac connected via Optical Lead to Panasonic SA-PT460 DVD Player. This unit has its own speakers/DVD Player in-built. I'm not saying this is an excellent setup by any means, but I'd be most grateful if you could advise me where best to spend my money. I'm looking at spending about £200, and whilst I'm not expecting to get fantastic results, I'd like to get some noticeable bang for my buck. Edit: I thought it might be worth noting that all my music is in Apple Lossless. Many thanks, Edd
