1. Thanks for the additional details, much appreciated.
 2. Hi Chris et al,

So is the wavelink or equivalent a required part of the CAPS v2.0 picture? If this is the case shouldn't it be listed as an item? If so, this makes CAPS v2.0 considerably more expensive and on par with some of the more expensive music servers.

In CAPS v1.0 you detail the external cables that you tested. Can you please elaborate on this for this version?

Out of curiousity which DACs are you testingrunning it with?

Thanks

SBright
 3. Hi all, any other thoughts? Also, not sure if I posted this in the right forum, it's more of a Music Server query. Can someone move the thread please? Thanks
 4. Hi all, I'm wondering what's the best way to input into a BDA-1 from a HTPC I've built. Up until the release of the CAPS v2.0 I had planned on getting the Lynx AES16 card and a suitable AESEBU cable. However in light of the recommendations for the SOTM USB card I have changed tack. What I am left wondering however is do I just input straight into the DAC via a USB cable? Or, should I introduce a USB > SPDIF converter? I just read the manual for the BDA1 and it's a USB revision 1.1. At the moment I'm inputting direct from the motherboard (Asus P8H67-M PRO) via either USB or SPDIF (both of which sound great). Any input or suggestions welcome. Thanks
 5. Hi Chris,

What changes if any are you running within J River now that you're outputting with USB?
 6. Hi Chris,

Exciting news. I'm just about to purchase components myself. Any hints as to your equipment list? When do you expect to publish the versions?

Currently I'm thinking along the lines of the following:

ASUS - P8H67-M-PROV3
Seasonic X-400 Fanless Gold 400W
SSD HDD
TV Tuner (will be used for movies also)
PCI AES16

Thoughts or input welcome?

7. Hi Chris,

Any update on your progress? CES was a little while ago. :-)

I'm sure there are many of us waiting for v2.

Even if not a fullblown article, any news on your testing?

cheers

SBright
 8. Hi Chris,

That's great news, I'm looking forward to it. Dare I ask which motherboards you're looking at? The Intel D525MW looks interesting.
 9. Hi all,

I'm looking to build one of these. Do people have any recommended motherboards? I see some people have started using the AT5IONT, however from what I can tell it only has PCI-e.
