    Delete store

How do I delete a store? I opened one to sell an item but I do not think I need it as a private seller, do I? Thanks.
  2. I agree with Imitche. I also had the Bryston BDA-3 for four months before I got the Brooklyn (with the HD-Plex LPS). There is no contest, the Mytek is the better dac.
  3. The Oppo BDP-105 through its USB input works (and sounds) great in direct and integer mode.
  4. The answer to this is No. My NorthStar Design USB dac32, which does use its own drivers even for the Mac, unfortunately does not work in Direct mode. Very disappointing for an otherwise great DAC. Michael
  5. The answer to this in No. My NorthStar Design USB dac32, which does use its own drivers even for the Mac, unfortunately does not work in Direct mode. Very disappointing for an otherwise great DAC. Michael
  6. Thanks Damien. I was hoping it would work before I bought A+ (I am just in the trial period right now). I guess I will have to inform the dac manufacturer. By the way, I am glad to see that A+ in MUCH more stable than Pure Music (that I am currently using) with the new iTunes. Many thanks again. Michael
  7. Is direct mode related to the Mac or DAC type used? I am getting a message like "attached hardware does nor support direct mode". I am using headless Mac Mini with SSD and NorthStar Design USB dac32. Now this DAC is using drivers even for the Mac. Could this be the problem? Sorry if this has been already discussed and thanks i advance for any suggestions. Michael
  8. ... excellent sound quality from the USB and from its other inputs. Very under-appreciated in North America (maybe due to the very limited distribution) but highly regarded in Europe and Far East. Well built and great value. Do not hesitate to get it. Of course, if you can, try to listen to it in your own system. Email me directly if you want to discuss in more detail.

    Slow itunes on NAS

I have instant iTunes access from my NAS. I suggest you see http://www.computeraudiophile.com/How-To-Move-An-iTunes-Library-Video to properly move your iTunes library to the NAS.
  10. ... listening after midnight. My system (http://www.computeraudiophile.com/content/Show-us-your-equipment-kit#comment-67716) is in a dedicated circuit and everything but the amp is pugged into an ExactPower EP15/Sp15 combo. Yes, the conditioner helps during the day and evening times when there is so much crap (from computers, refrigerators, etc.) in the supplied electrical power but the system NEVER sounds as good as listening in late hours, with or without the conditioner (the ExactPower one, as well as others I have tried before). Michael
  11. System in basement family room (so I can listen in peace!) The components are as follows: iTunes (AIFF) on Synology DS710+ NAS, plus Pure Music Headless Mac Mini (SSD, 8GB RAM) North Star Design 192/32 USB dac32 Oppo 83SE NuForce Edition Rotel RT-990BX tuner Clearaudio Champion Level II / Rega RB1000/ Benz Micro M2 Chris Johnson-modified PS Audio GCPH phono preamp SimAudio Moon Evolution P7 and W7 Focus Audio FS-888 Signature speakers ExactPower SP15A/EP15A Wireworld Eclipse 5.2 and 6 cables, Starlight USB cable Acrolink 6N-P4030 power cords with Oyaide P-004/C-004, Oyaide R-1 Receptacle I'm really happy with the sound of the Mac/PM/dac32. With red book CDs it sound as good as, if not better than, the Esoteric X-05 CD/SACD player it replaced - certainly not an easy feat! Many thanks to Chris and everybody else in this site/forums - I certainly read and learned a lot before adopting computer audio. Michael
  12. Never had shut down or any other problem, other than the transient noise mentioned above, with any of the recent versions of PM, including with the preallocate feature. I use a late 2010 Mac Mini with SSD and 8 GB of RAM booted in 64bit mode. Michael
  13. What I get is a quite loud scratch-type (like from a bad scratch on an LP) noise. It is very annoying and the puzzling thing is that it does not happen consistently but occasionally and unpredictably - thus very hard to track down. I am thinking that if PM was muting the output properly when switching tracks then this should not happen at all, unless my dac plays a part, too. The only way to avoid it is to have PM upsample everything to 192KHz, which I do not want to do (as my dac upsamples by default everything to 192KHs/32bit). I am confident that Rob will come up with the solution soon. Michael
