  1. In my installation the shift is still there but now in both directions. The soundstage is gone and music comes from the speakers. E.G. Johny Cash sits exactly in the middle between the speaker without iRC but with iRC he shifts to the right speaker. In the middle is a sound hole.
  2. I have the problem with iRC as well " "IRC not woking for me on the Amarra4. The filter when enabled simply shifts the stereo image to right speaker." Any solution available in the meantime? All filters work as designed with A3 Symphony.
  3. Obviously Sonic Studio have stopped to do anything new in Amarra. Is that the end?
  4. Hi Richard, A long time ago that I posted in this thread for the last time. Another sign for the agony of AMARRA / Sonic Studios. Nothing new since a long time. But thank god the old stuff with AM 3.0.3 incl. iRC is still working fine on my MacBook wit El Capitan. I´m looking forward when roon will arrive in Germany, maybe around the next High End in Munich in May 2016. By now we could´t read anything in German HiFi Journals about the game changer. So I don´t really know what it is. A streaming SW or some alternative to Amara and Pure Music with links to further information regarding the music I´m listening? I read 7 of the magazines in Germany regularly, none have mentioned it by now. But it was a great time when you guided us through the world of Amara in the forum and I would´t miss to say "thank you" for all the effort and time you spend. simplon
  5. The new WEISS DAC Flagship has been announced in Germany: Der MEDUS D/A Wandler – unser Flaggschiff DAC simplon
  6. Hi Richard, We in Europe still believe that American customers are more demanding than we in Europe. Obviously not allways the case. Sorry, but I expect no explanation of the problem but a solution. One product works, one not. I use my MacBook exklusiv for Music, disconnect it from WLAN when playing it and apply the Amarra script for optimal use with the exception of the search function. I´ve never been told that I have to upgrade my MacBook to the latest system when updating my Amarra licence which I apply since 2010. I have an 13" MacBook Pro witfh 8 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD. Should be fast enough. I would be happy if someone can solve the problem. No offence intended. Amarra still has outstanding SQ. simplon
  7. My experience is that Amarra can cope with 16/44.1 kHz files without distortions. But with 24/96 kHz and higher I have this problems from the beginning. Channel D´s Pure Music is more robust, which shows that a high professional implementation is possible where the computer resource demand is lower and is no problem for my older MacBook. simplon
  8. I had 100% Kimber in my chain, the Top Range. Some still there, but some replaced as well. C.f. My signature simplon
  9. Are you talking about the new Vinyl´s or the original ones? simplon
  10. Thank god I use Amarra Symphony iRC which has a very good equalizer. I created a filter set called LZ HighRes. With this it sounds good, but without I´m nor happy with the masters. Maybe the original vinyl is burned deep in my brain. simplon
  11. signature updated. Means I will stay with Yosemite, iTunes 12.0.1.26, Amarra Symphony iRC 3.03. It works! simplon
  12. Richard, I will never give up, she Sound Quality of Amarra Symphony iRC is the best I know and I have 4 other players available. I had several crashes and each time Memory Purge was requested afterwards. I will watch this, maybe the Cache Load is the problem, when nearly 3.3 GB are allocated. I will report to Sonic Studios as well. Billy Cobham´s Stratus in High Res - compensation for every problem but like hundreds of great songs from Bach to Beatles. keep swinging simplon
  13. 14. All, this night I did it. First installed Yosemite, then I found out that iTunes 12.01 (the RED dot one) was already on my MacBook without my knowledge, then I installed the Weiss Firewire Driver compatible with Yosemite and the new Amarra Synohony with iRC Release 3.0.3. Never change a running system" is one of the most valuable advice in Computer Technology and I´m working in IT for more than 30 years now. I would really be surprised if my system workes immediately tonight, and suspicious because I don´t know why By the way my last update of my turn table was a new phono cable 5 years ago. I´m happy to listen to vinyl while updatig my digital system. simplon
