Ted this is all known , the current DSd craze is just marketing, you know like the 600 hour 'burn in'. However I can easily see how ripping a large SACD collection could be useful, DSD better than PCM no. Keith.

DSD is a flawed medium always has been but I can understand listeners with a lot of SACDs wanting to rip them. Keith.

S/pdif is absolutely correct 1 bit chips produce idle tones and cannot be dithered properly, that is wht everyone uses Multi bit. Keith.
