1. I have painstakingly ripped 2000cds over the past 4 months using DB Poweramp software. During the ripping process I rated each track from poor 1 to very good 5. Sadly when I import the music into i-tunes I don't see the ratings appearing even though they are in the metadata. This is the case no matter what format I use. Does anyone know whether there is a setting to bring these ratings into i-tunes? Many thanks!
 2. I must have been using the wrong settings when ripping the CD's because I followed the Illustrate instructions when downloading the AAC format from Nero. Thanks for the suggested settings.
 3. Please can someone help. I have ripped 2000 cds as FLAC files to a NAS drive. I would like to convert and create a copy in AAC format to use for my ipod, and a second coversion (later) for my HiFi in ALAC (if I go the itunes route). I converted a few albums to AAC at the weekend and itunes would not upload the files. Itunes is very happy with ALAC or MP3 but not AAC. Do I need a special setting for this, and secondly is AAC better than MP3? If they are the same thing then I won't bother with AAC. I use DB Poweramp. Many thanks!
 4. Thanks Chris.

I assume then that this is partly why you recommend copying to FLAC WAVE and AIFF thereby elimination any conversion problems between FLAC and WAVE?

Regards

Richard
 5. Hi Chris

I am very new to this so sorry if this is a dumb question!
When using dbpoweramp to rip a disc as a FLAC file format, does the software automatically embed the metadata? I assume that once metadata has been embedded then if the files are converted to another format later on such as WAVE or AIFF the data always remains embedded? Many thanks Humzet.
