I am currently using an airport connected thru optical SPDIf to a DAC (currently Xindac DAC-3, but it will be replaced soon, this is the weakest compononent in my system), on a Windows XP PC..
What setup is optimal , programs and so on..?
I am currently experimenting with J. River Media Center and dBPowerAmp Renaissance, but dBPowerAmp drops out a lot.. Can anyone with real knowledge tell me if dBPowerAmp is better than Airfoil? Testing, the sound seems ma bit better, but it is hard to tell..
Also, is for example J. River Media Center better than just using VLC, for example?
In short, which configuration is best for Airport on XP PC?
