1. Sorry to say I definetly dont see the big news here. This is the same thing Meridian has been doing forever... at least since the late 80'.....
 2. I started using J River since version 15 after reading your article on it. My litle contribution is that with touch screens you can select the touch screen display setup where the main menu is different, better suited for touch. Keep the good work.
 3. I would like an app for google tv with similar look and features as the theater mode of JRMC 16. My network includes a Logitech Revue Google TV device. An update with android market is coming within the next weeks, the update will make google tv compatible with more audio and video formats but the currently available mediaplayers for it lack in comparison to JRMC Google TV update will be running honeycomb 3.1 android.
 4. further use has revealed that:

Droping of the Airport happens at diff irregular intervals. All of the sudden the zone dissapears and comes back. Then I have to restart it.

As the library can be accessed as DLNA or regular, any idea which setting should be used when active zones and airport zones are mixed in a setting?

Thanks
 5. The thing is, I think, that there are many variables to making this interoperable.

One of the culprits I believe is related to network traffic volume and speed of transmission.

My computer zotac zbox hd-id34 is kind of weak in the wireless department. So i hooked it up as main computer with cat5 to the wireless router using Gigaport ethernet and then wireless transmitted by the router ( both located in my main audio room).

As my airport is in my theater connected to my 7.1 receiver and there is already a wireless multiport access point with better wireless performance than the airport I hooked up both via ethernet ( Gigaport)

I solved the droping after a few seconds and now it works like a charm 99%.

1. I installed and configured the airport express according to apples intructions for windows.

2. I installed the air upnp app.

3. installed the latest jrmc after restarting the system.

4. In the setup for jrmc i ticked the sugested boxes plus the one to share libraries, playlists etc.

I know it sounds like a workaround, but it works better than just using all wireless connections and what matters to me is having reliable comunication of the music to the second dlna zone.

In addition I installed jrmc also on my laptop as a third dnla zone and load the main library as dlna library.

The new version of gizmote works fine for me. So in the theater room I transmit as a separate zone and controll it with gizmote or my laptop.

Hope this helps those experiencing drops lika a had when first tried.

I have tested to operate all 3 zones with diff audio at the same time and changing them on the fly, so far great.
 6. I just installed JRMC 15 in a new ZOTAC Zbox HD-ID34 ( ion 1.8 GHtz dual core with integrated blu-ray player)

I installed win 7 ultmt. OS.

When installed JRMC 15 I too had a problem with clicks, drops in sound, could not rip and use theater mode and would even freeze when using theater mode.

Well the fix is quite easy, I had the same thing before in another computer I use to record live music. What is needed is more ram.

zbox came with one 2 Gig ram and had one free slot for another. Now it has total 4Gigs ram. I do not fault JRMC 15 for the need of more ram. In my experience running Win 7 with 2 gigs is just the bare minimum needed, with 4 the system improves dramatically and JRMC works wonderfully.

Just my grain of info.

My combo is the Zbox with a Planar 22" multi touch screen and gyration music remote. KILLER combo IMHO.

Ripping Kenny Dorham, Quiet Kenny.
