Source to DAC for new audioset?

Great site, and lots of new terms to learn for someone who WAS into the lower high-end audio. Need some support / advice in buying a new set, based on….. Streaming / laptop-based orso? My old set still has: a pair of Dynaudio Contour 1.3se and a Linn LP12, sold my Accuphase amp and Linn cd player! I am at the point of buying (for an interesting offer) an integrated amp: Perreaud 150i www.audioreference.co.nz/searchdisplay2.php?id=PX EL IA 1501 (copy- paste the whole line above for this link!) WITH phono module and a build in DAC module www.audioreference.co.nz/searchdisplay2.php?id=PX EL DAC 150I (copy-paste….) Features: Digital Inputs: 2 SPDIF Coax (BNC) 2 SPDIF Optical (Toslink) 1 USB (Type B) Input Sample Rate: 32, 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192kHz (Coax, Optical) 32, 44.1, 48kHz (USB) Input Word Length (maximum):24-bit Coax, Optical 16-bit (USB) Input Impedance: 75? (Coax) And now my questions: What source do I need for (prepared for 24 bit) a clean signal path to this DAC modul for FLAC and WAV files? I read about Apple Airportexpress / (Apple) minilaptop / special cables> optical or coaxial??? JITTER solutions and so on… Is it better to use an external drive or a NAS, WiFi or wired?? Or….should I forget this amplifier and build-in DAC and go for a cheaper amp and invest in a PS Audio DL3 for significant better signal-path? Oh… the budget: hmmm, depends what amplifier I choose ;-) Lots of questions, Thanks for your advice and answers! Jurriaan, The netherlands
