  1. Nonetheless the only distinction should be lossless or lossy. The rest is marketing. It seems that most "techjounalists" can not keep track of the different formats (the reason that MQA fooled so many) and just lets their spell correction insert a format?
  2. The ever MQA supporting Hi-Fi Choice has review of an wifi DAC. The reviewer listens to lossless AAC an MQA (lossless the same way as AAC?)
  3. Since we're both in the EU I think You can find it on Apple Music, screenshot from the Apple Classical app
  4. Oh, he's one of the sensitive ones. Back in 2020 i wrote him in connection with the article https://twitteringmachines.com/amazon-to-remaster-titles-from-universal-and-warner-in-ultra-hd-why/ and pointed out to him that he himself had been instrumental in promoting "snake oil" better than cd formats. His reaction..... I’ve taken the liberty of blocking your email from any further communication as I don’t have time for nonsense. 😅
  5. I had scribblings with Berkeley Audio back in 2020. Depending on which mail I reference, they spend somewhere between one and two years evaluating before implementing, last mail quoted 500 hours. No wonder there was no understanding of my wish for a non-MQA version (It would be far costlier to do a version without......after they spend hours and hours implementing MQA in the first place) In the end I went with another brand, probably never will consider anything from them due to their way to handle my request.
  6. Well it has happened before
  7. Looks like JVS over at Stereophile has not been informed that the checks from MQA will no longer be sent to him. He has been so lucky to listen to 32/352.8 MQA file of Patricia Barber's version of "This Town" from her album Clique in various rooms at AXPONA😴
  8. Someone should get the man some help, denial can be dangerous
  9. Available as 24/88 on Apple Music, currently traveling so only have AirPods with me, so don't know if it is MQA infected, but it shouldn't be https://music.apple.com/dk/album/music-for-a-while-improvisations-on-purcell/818797900
  10. Have been in contact with a European (really Chinese owned, developed and produced) with the intend to buy a streaming receiver. Only I was inquiring about a non MQA version, hopping that they would follow the excellent way Topping does things. They don't and won't. During our correspondence I asked why they were displaying false information on their website, regarding the "virtues" of MQA. They did not defend MQA or tell me that MQA actually did what was advertised😬 in stead they wrote: So not only can't their licensees not tell anybody what goes on in "the black box" but they make sure that when marketing a product with MQA, they must incriminate themselves.......... Nice people to business with.
  11. Even bested by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: Deny, Deny, Deny It wasn't us, they started.....
  12. Peachtree Audio, another company blowing smoke to potential customers. Just introduced a integrated with MassiveQualityAssasination Of course, won't be buying....
  13. Except for the fact that any manufacturer could misconstrue any purchase as condoning MQA, I really did not want that to happen. Hence they are not getting my money. However You look at it, any purchase of a Whim product would send money in the direction of MQA (which I also does not want to happen)
  14. Impressive little product, however...... For Me that's a BIG dealbreaker
  15. Well another two companies not getting my money........
