Just an update: I have sucessfully got the Galaxy Tab to play my FLAC music files through the HDMI adapter, into my main stereo system. All sounds good so far, though the receiver displays "Linear PCM 44 khz" when a FLAC file or an MP3 file is played, so I'm not sure if I'm getting the full audio quality passed to the receiver (24 bit/96 khz FLAC music files)... One more thing: which DAC is being used in this setup, the Galaxie's or the receiver's?? hmmmm... Any thoughts?

Hi guys, I'm thinking of trying my Galaxy Tab 10.1 as a music player for my main stereo system. I'd be wanting to play FLAC files through the HDMI adapter using Poweramp, into my receiver's HDMI input. If this works, I'd have a completely silent and totally convienent server and wouldnt have to set up a spare PC just for playing these files on that stereo. Anyone else tried this, and/or had any luck....suggestions? Thanks!

Hello all, I just finished building my new Windows 7 system last week, built using an Asus Xonar Essence STX, feeding an old (but a goodie) Harmon Kardon PM670 integrated amplifier, then into a pair of Energy E:xl 16 speakers. The sound from this system is amazing, it reminds me alot of listening through a good pair of headphones (though with much more energy and punch!). Clarity, dynamics and stereo seperation are incredible. I constantly find myself relistening to familiar material now and always hearing new things within the music (a good thing of course). This is certainly my current favoite setup (of many) that I have had in the house. Dare I say better than my dedicated 2 channel system which consists of Bryston, Sony ES and a pair of Energy RC70's?! Next to decide (with your help) if I would have the need for a standalone DAC (as I see is a popular addition to peoples systems). What a great new way to enjoy this hobby of ours! Thanks..
