  1. Cant Wait! Will provide a review once I have it set up.
  2. Nelson, I use USB... I only read this thread after I purchased the M1 so I guess I have not done my homework thoroughly. Not too happy with the fact that the USB only goes up to 48 and not 96 so I am looking into investing a Hiface... Yes... more money down the pit... I just bought an Audio Quest VDM 3 coaxial in anticipation of the Hiface today... Nonetheless I am quite happy with my purchase even with using USB. I used to have a Copeland CD player (cant remember which model) and the M1 is clearer with more definition. Its still a good machine for its money.
  3. Just got back into the Audiophile scene after a 7 year lapse...Yes kids to that to you... I was reading all the rave about the MF V dac and went for a back to back test against the M1. The difference is obvious. Soundstage is slightly narrower with voices being thinner and less full. Highs are slightly less clear and crisp. There also seems to be less definition on the position of instruments. These are 2 different classes of machines but the V-DAC is really good for its money. The price difference does not 100% justify for the difference in quality as the V-DAC Clearly is a very good bargain..but I went for the M1 anyways... If the power supply of the V-Dac is changed to a more decent supply (rather than the 2 dollar 12v tiny black box used for toys) there might be more value to be squeezed from there. If you are concerned about having the best in this price range then I think the M1 is a good choice. If you are looking for good P/P ratio then V Dac is really a bargin.
