  1. I like these guys' music and was tempted to download the 24-bit 88 kHz self-titled album from HD Tracks. But fearing I'd be wasting my money, I decided to download just one track first and have a look. I chose Stubborn Love. The verdict is a mixed bag: Seems to have solid content up to 44 kHz, but there is also moderate dynamic range compression. Listening to the track, you can definately hear the compression :-(. I probably will pass on paying the premium for the rest of the album. But if anyone else pulls the trigger, I'd be interested in hearing if the compression on the rest of the album is any better. Here are the details: foobar2000 1.2.1 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 log date: 2013-02-17 22:58:22 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Statistics for: 07-Stubborn Love Number of samples: 24607775 Duration: 4:39 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Left Right Peak Value: -0.09 dB --- -0.10 dB Avg RMS: -13.35 dB --- -13.12 dB DR channel: 9.33 dB --- 8.78 dB -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Official DR Value: DR9 Samplerate: 88200 Hz Channels: 2 Bits per sample: 24 Bitrate: 2624 kbps Codec: FLAC ================================================================================
  2. No luck. I upgraded to v15.0.142, but am still seeing the error. Per your request, I have opened a new issue in the Media Center forum on the Jriver site: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=60307.0 Thanks, Sean
  3. Hi All, I'm having an issue identical to what Jose (jcalleja) was having in May. The difference is I think I've narrowed my problem down to my Apple lossless m4a files. I have no problem playing mp3 and wav files through JRMC15 as renderer with Plugplayer as the remote. I also have no problem playing ANY files (Apple lossless included) through JRMC15 natively on the host PC, or via JRMC's WebRemote capability. Just no luck with Plugplayer + JRMC15 + Apple lossless. Any ideas how to overcome this? In case it matters, here are the specifics of my host PC: [*]Windows XP Pro 64-bit Media files served from seperate NAS JRMC 15.0.95, with DC-Bass Source filter installed and assigned to m4a and aac (to read Apple Lossless) JRMC output set to ASIO4ALL ASIO4ALL controller feeding a Soundblaster XtremeMusic soundcard with S/PDIFF output to my DAC. Thanks, Sean
