Yes, we received a note from KingRex last Tuesday that we were to receive the prototype sample after it's showing at the HiEnd Swiss show and local EU dealers see it. I suspect we will see it within the next few weeks. At this point, the unit circling is a non-production sample so its very possible it could undergo some changes prior to final market based on possible feedback from the road show it's on. We received a prototype QS01 for the 2008 Montreal SSI show but the actual QS01 did not launch well into 2009 and still encountered some issues and major revisions until it was scrapped a year later. Hence we are somewhat shy to announce specs and delivery times until we have it in hand and tested. In fact there is no news or press about the unit on KingRex's own site at this point either. We are excited to launch the new product but choose to wait until all the details are finalized. It's just our preference I suppose. The internet will allow folks to do their own research and ultimately, make an informed decision. Turns out the internet wasn't a fad... I guess I should've invested in Google after all:) Regarding our sale... that was August 2009 and we did not ship anything to the UK. It may have happened with our competitor here in 2008 before they went out of business.

Thanks for your comments. I understand your point about anonymity yet it does not apply to everyone on the board. The 'sheep' are the "arm chair" crusaders who are often quick to swing a sword or pull the trigger but don't fully investigate why there's a dispute in the first place, not members in general. These forums are great places to dialogue and share opinion about gear. However, when one known retailer starts slandering another in an open forum there is clearly a gap. It's one thing to share an opinion, but to specifically accuse a distinct person or group is another issue altogether. As far as humour goes.... we try to have fun.... What's the point otherwise? Sorry... no harm intended:)

Ouch... We don't usually find this kind of discussion on the web so we must take a turn on the soapbox. First of all, we did apologize for the handling of the QS01 issue and there was an error in the mailing of the refund to an older address we had for you on file so it appears you did not receive it. This will be fixed Monday as per my voicemail and email. If one searches the net, you will find many great stories about Obad Imports and how they deal with customers. Such as, how we sent free product to the many victims of the audiomagus closing in 2009 prior to us buying the brand name. We are not a fly by night outfit... we've been a successful business for almost 5 years. When I read the thread it is disheartening how some will join the herd if they can gain a quick sense of empowerment, no matter how negative or unproven. People often say things online and in emails that they would never communicate face to face. I wonder why that is? If you did some due diligence you would hopefully ask yourself if this was an isolated case or mistake.... We try to do what is right, to believe the best about people but we do make mistakes. Ironically, Audio_newb did not mention that we gave him a 70% refund on 1 year old equipment he purchased from a different company towards his amplifier purchase. Anyway, I don't normally feel such threads are worth reading or joining but it was personal in this case. Yes, we made a mistake but it was rectified and 90% beyond our control. Cheers Obad Imports

Please enlighten us about the "fact that they continue to ship many items to the UK to customers". Fact is we have not sent a single order to the UK. However, what we DO know is that you actively tried selling products into our distribution market by undercutting pricing. You admit it, and you're darn right, I was upset about that! This thread reminds me of that show "The Apprentice" when the women suddenly all turn on each other in the board room. As an outsider, one can only laugh and wonder how some of these ladies can function in society.
