  1. Phillip The beautiful thing is that you can get the HRT through MusicDirect with a 30-day return policy. In theory you can try them both...
  2. The closest I could find (as a happy enough user of a 1st gen Streamer, trying to decide between them myself) was HiFi+. The reviewer's conclusion was that the rDAC was more laid back and smooth while the II+ was a bit more 'dynamic' and punchy. I went rDAC and am very pleased, especially as there will no doubt be power supply upgrades--which you cant ever do on a Streamer. Obviously my Vandersteens are on the warm side, but my AVR, though very high end, isn't as musical as $6000 in seperates might be.
  3. Has anyone found software that works to rip MVI discs? Donald Fagen's Nightfly Trilogy box set has gorgeous 24-bit PCM on these rare beasties, which even sounds good on my Panasonic BD-80. But I'm sure it would sound much better ripped and running through my Arcam rDac.
  4. I had bought an OWC Al-Pro 1-TB drive before finding CA, based soley on recommendations for durability, etc, and have found it to be far and away the best external drive I've ever tried (multiple failures of LaCies and the like on a TV project led me to it). Mine has the 924 chip since it has FW 800. Are you aware of any diff between that and the 934 in the 934 chip?
