  1. View Classified Focal Arche DAC and Headphone Amp SOLD a while back. Sorry forgot to update my listing. This is essentially new. I bought it from a Focal dealer, plugged it in and played it for about 5 minutes and decided that I still prefer my tube amp, although this does sound great. I have 2 Focal headphones and it has presets for each specific Focal phone. Decodes PCM up to 384 kHz and DSD up to DSD256. 2. I recently learned to rip my SACD's from this forum and it has worked flawlessly. I imported a bunch into MC 22 for Mac. They are .DSF files, which support metadata tags I understand. In about half MC automatically found the cover art. On the others when I go to find the art in the internet from within MC it finds the correct one, but when I select it and Save it to the album I get a tag error saying to make sure the file is not in use or make sure it's not read only. Any suggestions? The file locations are no different than the files that MC automatically tagged, so I'm confused why it won't tag them. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for the info. After some additional research elsewhere I finally figured out the DSD files are either DSF or DFF. Now it makes sense. Had to go back to basics. I just didn't realize what the actual file types were called. Kind of like .WAV or AIFF. Just a file format.
  4. So now that I have DSF files, does it just depend on the playback software or renderer whether or not it will decode the DSF? Do I need to convert now to DSD64? Thanks.
  5. I actually hardwired it. I haven't tried wireless yet.
  6. Figured it out. My file structure wasn't correct. I didn't have the AutoScript Folder at the top, just the 3 files sitting in the root directory by themselves. Decided to make my inaugural SACD rip one of my faves so I can compare it to multiple hi-res versions I have, Kind Of Blue. Ripped at 2.6 with no difficulty. This is gonna be fun!
  7. My Pioneer 80F's tray doesn't open when I load the USB stick. It's empty except the 3 files, and I downloaded the Pioneer specific daemon. Any suggestions? I see my player from my Win 10 PC, but I think it's that the file is not loading when I insert the USB drive . Thanks
  8. Just got a Pioneer BDP-80F to use this method. Will all of this work over a wireless network or is it more robust if hardwired into my LAN? Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the confirmations that a new 103 can still rip SACD
  10. Hello, Would I new Oppo 103 work for ripping SACD's or is the firmware too new? Thanks
  11. How is the HD Tracks version of this album? Are there any other hi-res versions that anybody can recommend? Thanks.
  12. Hello, I"ve been reading the Oppo thread extensively because I want to rip some of my SACD's. First I have a basic question. The SACD layer is DSD64 maximally, correct? So the files that come off the SACD layer are truly DSD, just as if they were downloaded from any of the various sources of hi-res downloads? Sorry if that's a dumb question. I know the SACD layer is 4.7 GB on the media itself, so I'm assuming that the files are no different than any other DSD64 files, say if I compared the ripped SACD files to the same file downloaded from an online source? Thanks.
  13. Thanks for the info. Do you know where the PCM versions are available?
  14. Hello, Can anyone point me to a site, if available, that has this? It's on the Pentatone label. I didn't find it at nativedsd or superhirez. I noticed ted_b listed it in his review of the Chord DSD DAC. Thanks
  15. Yeah, I'm not sure why I can't get a signal. I only have 2 HDMI input on my Pioneer. I'm on the right one. I'll try again. Even tried running it through my AV processor HDMI input and that didn't work. I can see why that might, trying to pass a Mac display signal into a HDMI switcher on the pre/pro.
