  1. Got in at the $249 price. Now I'll have to wait until November. Hopefully, this will be just right for my long term remote job assignments. I've got a Logitech Mini Boom, but it is too under powered and small for watching movies.
  2. I'm on 7.1.1 on my iPad Air as well. Have you tried rebooting the iPad? Is the iDSD fully charged? Sorry if my questions sound pedantic, but I'm trying to eliminate the simple stuff. What is the version number of the beta.bin file you flashed with?
  3. Does the default IOS music app play music when not connected to the iDSD? I'm using the beta firmware with the iDSD and I can confirm it working with both an original iPad IOS 5.1.1 and an iPad Air IOS 7.x.
  4. I would make sure it's working with 44.1/16 before testing it with DSD or high bit-rate files Just use the default IOS music app.
  5. Has anyone listened to this recording? Is it worth the purchase? Thanks
  6. There were a number of people with the USB 3.0 problem on non-Mac hardware over at Head-Fi. The reports I've read over there indicated that the new firmware fixed the problem.
  7. Request the beta firmware (nano idsd_v6_52_beta.bin) from [email protected] and install it per the instructions. I received my iDSD Nano this afternoon and the beta drivers are working flawlessly on the USB 3.0 ports on my late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina.
  8. I've been searching their forum looking to see if this was already reported. I didn't find anything, but I'll post the problem and see if they can offer any guidance. If I mirror the display JRMC is on my bigger monitor and I can resize it and use it just fine. The only problem is I have to remember to resize the window before I close it or it's a mess on the laptop monitor when I reopen it. Thanks for the help
  9. Thanks, Paul. I'll check out JRemote over the weekend. My iDSD is supposed to be delivered today and I've got the beta drivers ready to install.
  10. Hopefully an easy question for those of you using JRMC on OSX. I have JRMC running on a Macbook Pro Retina with Mavericks. I have a secondary 27" monitor. JRMC opens and runs fine when it's on the laptop screen but when I try to move the window to the bigger monitor, I can see it moving and then the window disappears. I still see the menu bar on the laptop screen but the player window is gone. I've never had an application that didn't work on the larger screen. Is this just a bug? It's not a deal killer, but it's annoying.
  11. Which cans have you tried out? How long after you place your order did they arrive?
  12. With the positive feedback on the new firmware fixing the issue with the newer Macbooks, I placed my order today. Really looking forward to hearing what this DAC can do.
  13. That's fantastic news! As soon as I see the all clear, my credit card will be put to good use. Thanks
  14. This is from the iFi sponsor on HeadFi Hi, You are correct. the Intel xHCI does not work with USB AC 2.0. This is the root cause and has affected those new products with this USB 3.0 chipset. We are working on the code and have been doing this round the clock. If you PM us with the retailer details we are more than happy for them to extend the period. We will have the solution but this has not only effected DACs out there but also peripherals such as HDDs and thumb drives. iFi is in the same boat as the others. As an interim work around, you can go into the BIOS and reset the port back to USB2.0. thanks I have no problems with USB 3.0 drives or USB 2.0 drives on my late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina. I have my entire iTunes library plus my DSD files on an external Seagate USB 3.0 drive and it works great.
