  1. FYI, the Klipsch control center is now for sale and in stock from Amazon and elsewhere for 499 USD. Axiiom also have a control center for sale included in a 5+1 speaker package at 1499, on sale from the manufacturer only. I will try the Klipsch one, as it includes source switching and a 7.2 system, and i may need the additional +.1 due to the size of my living room...not a word about 4K video bypass ability in this forum :-) Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile mobile app
  2. Are you trying to make me enjoy my new speakers any less? Sorry that ain't going to happen. They passed my own goosebump and "make me wanna dance" test with flying colors earlier today. The predecessor also sold 0.5 million units, so im am not the only one who like them
  3. [quote The new Magnepan 1.7 quasi ribbon speakers has however taken my fancy. They offer a transparency and openness that is difficult to beat. The passive X-ver are a know issue, and they do leave a lot to be desired. My wish setup therefor includes digital X-over and power-DAC tri-amping for the stereo bit plus something for 5.1. I suppose that I have gone completely mad! I have been running a similar system for 10 years - but with modified Martin Logans, which have been given an X-oversectomy. I use an digital integrated Amp which include x-over, Room correction, Power to the Panels, and a second identical amp which only provides power to the woofers. I have the impression that the time correction in the room correction sort out any phase issues......anyway it sounds good. The system will soon be deported to my "cave", and we will have something simpler in the living room. It will also be all digital - Beolab 18/19's full WISA 7.1 sustem to follow.
  4. I was aware of the Sharp one as i mentioned in my first posting. It seems unnecessarily complicated as i will mostly listen to mac/roon/tidal and mac/VLC for movies. I also have poor experience with using high quality DVD players with the discs available where we live. I have spotted two new WISA transmitting options Klipsch AV Hub, link: Klipsch Reference Premiere HD Wireless Home Theater Hub Black RP-HUB1 - Best Buy Artison Nano Backpack Due Q2 16: CEDIA Expo: Artison Nano Backpack Acts As AVR, Mounts Behind TV | Twice My beolab 18/19 do not include volume control.......(not good...), so I believe it is essential that the transmitter include that function. This rules out the B&O's own WISA transmitter. At the moment i plan to get by with a wired 2:1 setup, and use one of my integrated amps as preamp with room correction. However - this is too clumpsy to be a viable long term solution. Does anybody have experience with the Klipsh / Artison transmitters?
  5. Look forward to listning to my new beolab 18/19.....soon
  6. also - the nwpew speakers should allow me to get rid of two large amps and 40 m of cables ......
  7. I would probably have bought the same speakers even if they did not have WiSA. The Beolab 18/19 combination has a WAF which is out of this world....) especially compared with my 6ft tall 30 year old monsters. They also sounds very good IMHO, and are comparable to my modified Martin Logans. I now plan to use them wireless for access reasons. They will be placed in front of a wide slide-away terrace door. The TV will be on a ceiling flip-down mount, so there is access to the terrace without having to jump over cables. It is also cool to be able to move the speakers around easily fx for a party...
  8. Roon + TIDAL is magical I have listened to more great music new to me in the last week than in the last few years combined
  9. Ok - anybody know of any transmitters; i only know of the B&O one. Any other front ends than ....again B&O and the Sharp player which includes Blueray etc.
  10. Worlds slowest reply to a Thread..... I just put an order in for some WiSA speakers. Anybody know of an in-expensive transmitter
  11. After having installed Pure Music couple of days earlier, i listened to a track by Jason Mraz, and couldent stop myself dancing......I know this is not the most scientific way to evaluate a hi-fi, but i find the music much more present or alive in the room, than when Itunes plays the same tunes. No experience with Amarra, but Itunes can certainly be improved.
