  1. Audiozorro, Benchmarks are done by users themselves, for myself my cMP/cPlay replace my meridian 500 cd drive. I just sold my meridian. My converter is a DCS Delius feed by an MSB optical cable. There is a review by enjoy the music : www.enjoythemusic.com/magazine/equipment/0908/bestof2008.htm www.enjoythemusic.com/magazine/viewpoint/0708/aachapter105.htm cMP/cPLAY is not a commercial product, it's DIY. There is a lot of diffrences from one cMP/cPLAY computer to another. It's just because you can built it like you want. But if you build it why all the hardware and software recommandations (a full cMP/cPLAY), you will have a very high level audio player. For CISC himself it's better than a DCS drive feeding a DCS computer, he own a full DCS stack (converter, drive, clock). For myself my own benchmarck VS my Meridian drive make me think, that is really possible. Depending on you budjet, you can build you cMP/cPlay computer with no external converter, just with the recommanded sound card (100€). If you the bugjet, you can go with a lynx card with a DSC Scarlatty converter feed in DUAL AES at 192khz. My personnal cMP/cPLAY cost me around 500 € with the recommanded sound card, and it took me few days to built it. The draw back is I have a lot of medium quality mp3, cPM/cPlay doesn't read this, only wav and flac files, so I use foobar and Cmp/Cplay. The other drawback is that cMP/cPLAY has a very basical graphical interface, it's for audiophile, it's the opposite of iTune, but it's the price to pay for the quality. Sincerly Nicolas
  2. Dear Peter, What you describe is already done by méridien. Have you alreary test a full cics CMP cplay computer with hard and soft tunning ? It is thé best digital source i Have ever leasening, mine is connected to a dcs converter. Nicolas
  3. Dear Chris, Yes i'm using a pure CISC computer, it is a very good audio source. The software interface is very basic, no cover for example, but connected to a good dac like a DCS it's far better than many cd drive and for CISC himself as good as the best one perharps even better. Nicolas.
  4. It's a wonderfull dac, no USB but 96khz and 192khz inputs working very well particulary with a computer like build like describe at www.cicsmemoryplayer.com.
