  1. As I suggested in another forum, perhaps one of the third party drivers out there for streaming audio files with higher resolution than 24/96 might work. The TheSycon driver that Ayre uses might be compatible with the HRT MSHD, as one example, and there are a number of others available online. Downloading, installing and giving it a go should only take a short while and might get the 24/192 files to the DAC. It is surprising that HRT doesn't provide a driver with their new product, as a significant number of their client base would be unable to access the full capabilities of the MSHD. I for one have owned two HRT DACs and have anxiously awaited this new product, guess I'll wait a bit longer until this driver issue is sorted out.
  2. I have owned a couple of HRT dacs and found the customer service from Kevin Halverson to be top notch. He answered my emails himself and replied quickly with answers to all of my questions. I would suggest that you email him with your situation, I'm sure he will be able to help you out.
  3. For me the recording of the year, a great album by America's best band. The CD sounds great, but the vinyl is something special (ripped to FLAC for my computer set-up, of course). Highly recommended.
