  2. View Classified PINK FAUN ULTRA OCXO 24 MHZ Pink Faun Ultra OCXO info on pink faun website: The Pink Faun Ultra OCXO Clock is especially designed for use in high-end audio and music servers. Our OCXOs are available in various audio frequencies and can also be used for upgrading the standard oscillators on motherboards. Common frequencies used on motherboards are 24 and 25 MHz oscillators. Normally, OCXOs with these frequencies have a considerably higher phase noise just by function of their higher frequency (compared to 10M XO’s). But not with our Ultra OCXO Clock: the typical phase noise of the Pink Faun Ultra OCXO Clock is < -130 dB @ 10 Hz offset from the carrier (i.e. 24 or 25 MHz). Every Pink Faun Ultra OCXO is square wave out and thus quite suitable for direct connection, without the need for a multiplier circuit to reach the correct frequency (which will also increase phase noise). Available frequencies: 20 MHz / 24 MHz / 24.576 MHz / 25 MHz This is the 24 MHz version suitable for Intel based motherboard/CPU combinations. Retail- and paid price for this product is 1512 EUR Selling because of change to AMD and therefore 25MHz clock. Asking price is non negotiable but includes worldwide tracked shipping. Great upgrade for your streamer/server! Any questions or suggestions, let me know. I am close to Pink Faun HQ so I can ask them to install the clock in your streamer/server if needed. 3. Thanks for the update. I have loved Ayre ever since I first demoed the K- & V-5 combo back in 2008 and today enjoy my AX-& DX-5, great stuff
  4. Hi Dave, I also bought the UNIK and had look at doing it myself using Acourate but quickly decided to have Mitch Barnett do it for 750 USD Convolution is not CPU intensive. I use the files in Roon running on a NAS and in Stylus/HQPe on a PF 2.16. In both scenarios I hardly see any impact on CPU usage. The result is a nice uptick in clarity, the sound snaps into focus once you active the filter. Well worth the investment. Good luck on your journey Cheers Steven
  5. I have Roon running on NAS and Stylus + HQPe on streamer, that way I can use both Roon and Stylus apps without changing any settings in Euphony. And as said before I agree Roon degrades sound quality but for casual listening and music discovery at low volume it is okay playing through HQPe. for active listening I switch to Stylus without any effort, just activate ALSA output instead of HQPe in de Stylus app and go.
  6. For those of you who like Stylus for best sound, and like me, also have Roon and HQPe licenses lying around... you can; activate Stylus + HQPe, so you can use Stylus for serious listening and the rest of the time use Roon (running on a different machine somewhere in your setup) into HQPe while discovering new music, adding stuff to the library etc. Curious if any of you are using this model
  7. yes Robert has replied to my support ticket (and also to my contact form later when I cancelled my sub on v4) guess maybe Z is on holiday... Any idea on shh-ing into v4 and enabling a flag in config? Or maybe I should just wait until Z is back in the office to hopefully do it for me...
  8. Hi guys, Does anyone know if Željko is still working for Euphony? He did something special for me in v3 to help streaming from Qobuz work in my setup. But the new guy Robert does not want to do the same trick in v4, which renders v4 useless for me. The config file needs a flag set to "1" but I am a linux noob so I have no idea how to do it myself... Can we still ssh into v4 anyway? Cheers Steve
  9. I asked these questions yesterday and got the following response 1 = will there be an update of HQP soon? 2 = can we use convolution filters in v4? 3 = what will the upgrade from version 3 to version 4 cost? 4 = when can we expect version 4? 1. There will be no update of HQPe for v3. Latest versions are not compatible with v3 OS. In v4, HQPe will have updates independent of Euphony updates. 2. Yes, we are preparing use of convolution filters for Stylus playback. 3. Last upgrade from v2 to v3 was around $100. It is not decided yet, but will be no more than that, maybe less. 4. Still working hard on it… Sorry, no date to really promise.
  10. Very nice interview again. Love the shoe-shopping anecdote 😂 Looking forward to more episodes!
  11. Hi Jussi, I am running embedded on a 6700k using Euphony os. Last week we had a heath wave in western Europe so I turned the computer off to save it some stress while I wasn't listening to music much anyway. Now the heath is gone and I want to listen again so I turned the computer on....but I get an error from HQP see log below. Any idea what's happening? 12. To me it is pretty obvious that the OP 'tested' the eR to prove too himself what he already knew. So it is very unlikely that he will ever change his mind (unless maybe he get's to listen to a system that already has a pretty low noise floor so he can actually hear what the eR does). Therefor I suggested to Davide to stop trying and add users like Mansr, plissken and Ralf to his ignore list as probably many others have done. Am I not allowed to say this? I am asking because to me it seems that my earlier reply stating this same thing was deleted somehow. And I will indeed stop now and listen to some music 😉
  13. huh? one troll pulling the disagree card get's my reply deleted? that's effective trolling right there, respect 😉
