  1. I've been into music servers since 2008, starting with a Logitech Transporter, initially using Wi-Fi, but later connected directly to my iMac with the Halide Design S/PDIF bridge and using Amarra for playback. In 2011, I replaced the Transporter with a Meitner MA-1 and continued to use Amarra, but later switched to Audirvana. All my CDs had already been ripped to an external HD, feeding the Mac Mini, which was now serving as my music server. However, I had a large library of SACDs and DVD-As that I was not able to listen to. I contacted Ari after finding Golden Ear Digital randomly on the web. Not only did he state that he could rip these discs for me, he encouraged me to switch to JRMC. I'd already downloaded the beta version for Mac, but found it too difficult to set up, so Ari offered to convert my whole library over to JRMC, with custom playlists, in addition to ripping the SACDs and DVD-As. I couldn't be happier with the end result! JRMC is so much more flexible and stable than either Amarra and Audirvana and using the JRemote App with my iPad Mini has freed me from having to use my MacBook Air and screen sharing in order to control the Mac Mini. Thanks so much Ari for a job well done! -Uday Reddy, SoundStage.com
  2. Just upgraded to JRMC 18 using J remote, but am not getting gapless playback for high resolution live albums despite having gapless playback checked on the options. Any suggestions?
  3. Check out the Cardas EM5813 Ear Speakers. They definitely give my Ultimate Ears UE 11 Pros a run for their money!
  4. Purchased mine through a 3rd party on Amazon for $120.00. Worth every penny!
  5. I had a similar problem with another download and HDtracks sent me a link for the track that failed. -Uday
  6. According to a conversation I had with a very high placed executive at Harman during last June's T.H.E. Show in Newport Beach, Mark Levinson's delivery times were way too optimistic and that late 2013 or early 2015 were more realistic. -Uday
  7. This one: Amazon.com: Richard Strauss: Also sprach Zarathustra; Ein Heldenleben [Hybrid SACD]
  8. Thanks for your reply, Cookie. Was the 8th symphony recorded to native DSD? -Uday
  9. Cookie- I'd love to get this and pay full price for DSD. Are the rest of the Mahler Symphonies from SFS going to be available, also? -Uday
  10. HDTracks has a "major announcement" later today, so this could be it.
  11. I held off on the pre-order on Amazon.com in hopes that it would be available at release time on HDtracks. Given the recent release of "Morph The Cat" on HDtracks, I'm at least hopeful. Now "Aja" would be awesome! -Uday
  12. How do I check if the firmware is 3.55 or less?
  13. Any of the live MaxxJazz recordings, particularly Jessica Williams' "Live at Yoshi's". Any of Keith Jarrett's Standard trio's live recordings and the 24/96 version of the "Koln Concert". All 3 of the Village Vanguard recordings of The Great Jazz Trio. 24/192 version of "Waltz for Debby" by the Bill Evans Trio. How's that for starters? -Uday Reddy
  14. Check out Allnic Audio from South Korea.
