  1. Dear all, I have a new Macbook pro. I run an HDMI cable to my receiver from the macbook pro via an adaptor so i can play audio and video. if i'm playing itunes, what should my audio midi settings be for sampling rate and bit rate? and if i'm playing downloaded videos, what should those settings be? and i sometimes play a dvd to my hdtv from the macbook pro. many, many thanks.
  2. Hello, I have a Macbook Pro with the minidisplay port which can handle hdmi video and audio out. I have an HDMI adaptor for that. My question is that since my HDTV is HDMI verison 1.3 b ut my receiver is HDMI version 1.1, should I run the HDMI cable from the Macbook Pro straight to the HDTV or run it through the receiver first? I'm worried that the video quality would suffer given the receiver has an earlier version of HDMI. I have an optical cable which I can run from the Macbook Pro to the receiver as well. Just wanted the best video and sound from the Macbook Pro. Also, what sampling rates should I set the audio midi program in the Mac to for best sounding ITunes and best sounding downloaded videos and best sounding DVDs played from this computer? Thank you.
