  1. Are you using Twonky server (default, comes factory installed) or Minimserver with your Melco ? I would recommend you installing Minimserver. I'm using the Melco with Minim working as server and never had problems with cover art or missing song titles. Minimserver download site: MinimServer downloads Note: They have a version with install guide just for the Melcos N1 (A&Z) .
  2. The Aurender A10 Chris is using has a built in DAC which, with an update, is able to "decode" MQA encoded files. With the all the other Aurender Music Servers (without included DAC) like the X100, N10, W20 how will they handle MQA files? A - Will they just pass through the files to the DAC which, if MQA enabled, will it be able to decode those files? B - Will they be able to "decode" the MQA files by themselves in Firmware (software)? How will a non MQA enabled DAC handle those files ? Sorry for all the questions but I've read most MQA/Aurender related posts and it's still a little confusing to me.
  3. That would be great. Whenever you have time. Pls let me know when you need me to test or try something on my side. Thanks
  4. Hi Jesus: I'm using the microRendu in DLNA mode with a CH Precision C1 DAC. I'm only able to play DSD 64/128 using DoP. Could you please check if it will be able to support native DSD now or in the future? Thanks in advance. 5. My NAS is a Synoçogy 214 (2*4 TB HDs) I have around 2.2 GB in music files. I can't say for sure because I never timed it but I would say it takes around 15 ~ 20 min for AMM to scan my whole database from scratch. However a scan with AMM to update the DB for small changes like adding some files is much faster.
  6. With my N100, every time I do a firmware upgrade I loose the previously stored database with metadata and covers from my NAS. Refresh DB or full scan on iPad won't work I always have to run the AMM (Aurender Media Manager) again on the MAC to build a new database from scratch.
  7. Hello, I'm using the Lumin with Minimserver and a Synology NAS. I've installed Minimwatch on the computer. Every-time I make a change on my library or add rips (CDs or downloaded files) to my NAS I just simply stop Minimwatch wait a few seconds and restart it. After it's done, on the Lumin App, (Ipad) : Setup>Minimserver> Options I select "Update Music Library" and it updates my Library. No need to reboot the NAS. I hope this helps. Regards, Pedro
  8. Hi Rodelius, I'm in a similar situation. My Evo doesn't work work through AES EBU. I've tried two different DACs, cables and pro/consumer mode with no success. It seems some DACs accept the AES EBU signal form the EVO and some don't. Maybe the AES EBU signal is "borderline" within specs and some DACs are more "signal tolerant" than others.
  9. I tried with an Apogee Mini DAC and a Playback Designs MPS 5.
  10. "Did you get the AES/EBU to work on the EVO?" no, not yet. I've been in contact with Marco but so far I couldn't make it work. Tried with two different DACs and two AES EBU cables. With SPDIF, no problems. I wonder if others have been experiencing the same problem.
  11. I've tried the EVO using the AES EBU output with two different DACs in both consumer and professional mode. I also tried two different AES EBU cables. I could never get the DACs to lock with the EVO. Both DACs work fine in SPDIF with the EVO. Xsajohn, I'm also using a Kimber D60 but with the SPDIF RCAs. I didn't knew Kimber made that cable with XLR connectors (AES EBU). I thought the D60 was a 75 Ohm cable.
  12. "I wonder is the AES output too low a signal level?" According to the manual, AES/EBU output voltage of the EVO should be 2Vpp +/- 0.2V @ 110 Ohms. Is there any easy (non expert) way to check this ? The EVO manual mentions a supply voltage of 7 to 11VDC (15VDC max.) I'm presently using a 9V battery (doesn't last long :-)) or a 9V power supply. Maybe the AES output requires a slightly higher supply voltage to work ?
  13. I've been trying to connect the EVO to my DAC through AES EBU but so far I couldn't get the DAC to lock to a signal. I've tried another DAC with AES EBU input, a second cable, but no luck. Changed between consumer and prof output mode but it didn't work either way. Using the SPDIF output from the EVO, the DAC locks instantly and the sound is very good (on a 9V battery). I'm using Win 7 (64) with driver v.1.03.141 Foobar and KS. Has anybody been able to get the AES EBU ouput from the EVO to work ? Thanks
